CBSE class 10th results declared, more than 27000 students score above 95 per cent
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the class 10th 2018 results.
Prakhar Mittal, Rimzhim Agarwal, Nandini Garg and Sreelakshmi G are joint toppers, scoring 499 out of 500. 27,476 students have got more than 95 per cent while 1,31,493 students have scored above 90 per cent, CBSE has said in a release.
Thiruvananthapuram has emerged as the best district in CBSE 10th Result 2018 with 99.6 per cent , followed by Chennai with 97.37 per cent, Ajmer with 91.86 per cent.
Girls have once again outscored boys. 88.67 per cent girls cleared the exams while 85.32 per cent boys were successful.
Anushka Panda from Suncity, Gurgaon topped with a score 489 out of 500 under the differently-abled category.
However, 11.45 per cent of the students will have to appear for the compartmental exams. Total of 16,24,682 appeared for the exams from a total 17,567 schools across the country. More than 86 per cent of students managed to clear it.
